The new year kicked off in exciting style as the first Trans World Educational Experiences ski tours of 2024 landed in Courchevel, France last week.
Three schools – Horizon English School, Bloom World Academy and Brighton College Abu Dhabi were among the first to experience our brand new ski offering in the French Alps with fantastic snow conditions providing the perfect surroundings for students to develop their ski and snowboarding skills.
Located just two hours from Lyon Airport, Courchevel offers some of the best slopes in Europe with expert instruction throughout which ensures students are supported in their development in a safe and enjoyable environment, giving staff members and families peace of mind that their youngsters are in the very best hands.
Away from the slopes the students had the chance to try their hand at sledging, snowman making, ice skating, rock climbing and a final night disco – keeping everyone entertained right up until lights out.
Speaking following last week’s visit to Courchevel with Horizon, Bloom World Academy and Brighton College, Calum Erskine – UAE Account Manager and Head of Ski at Twedex – said it was brilliant to see students and staff on the slopes of Courchevel to kickstart an exciting year for Trans World Educational Experiences.
“It was fantastic to see so many students from the UAE swapping January sun for snow last week in Courchevel. The slopes were in first class condition throughout the resort which meant the students could really focus on developing their skills. You could see a real difference in the confidence and enjoyment levels from the first day to the last, which is what these tours are all about.
“We want to extend a huge thank you to the staff at all three schools who were a fantastic support in the lead up to the tours. It’s our job to make things as smooth as we possibly can for the teachers organising these trips as we know there are lots of things going on at school which means dedicated time to school trips can sometimes be a challenge.
“Hopefully the students and staff gained a lot from their experience and we are incredibly excited to share our ski tours with a wide range of schools looking ahead to travel in 2025 and beyond. Courchevel is a first class destination in Europe but we also work in partnership with some excellent resorts in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Japan.”
